Brain Training

The following are a list of brain training games we will be using in class to “warm up” our minds. Each week we will be posting a link to a new one. Remember, you need to try and beat your highest score.

Bonte Games
Thanks Elana, these are amazing. I felt like I was a detective in CSI!

Word Bubbles
One of my all-time favourite games. Helps with your vocabulary, typing and spelling. And … it is fun!

Math Run
How much effect has Flash 30s had on your Maths? Want to know just how fast your brain is? Try this one out.

Circle the Cat
Okay, this one took me three goes. But, I think I fluked it. I will be interested to see how you guys go!

The Colour Test
Mr Kennedy got 0% on his first turn and was convinced the test cheated!

Guess the Google
An easy game that rewards quick thinking, and even quicker typing. Scores over 300 seem to be very good.

3D Logic
This was shown to me by a former student. If you have your favourite, it could feature here if you do the same.

A Very Simple Game
Try and find the coloured dot. Sounds easy … yeah right!

Lost in Migration
Looks easy, gets really confusing. A great way to get your brain switched on and to practice paying attention (we all need that!).

Coloured Lines
Try to match up the colours. When you get 5 or more in a row, they disappear. Simple hey? It looks easy at first, but as you get into it, it gets really hard!

Bloxorz
A good one to get your spatial awareness and logic working. I can’t get past level 3, I know all you 10 and 11 year olds will be heaps better than me at this.

Escapa
This game was claimed to be a test program for Air Force pilots. Apparently they can last up to 2 minutes! This is actually false, but it is still a great challenge. How long can you last?

Curveball

Its called Bonte Games and Chloe would know about Full Moon and there are other games like the bonte room and a bonte escape where you are in a room and you have to escape. EVERYONE has to try these because they really are brain trainers where you must use logic and stuff like that! 🙂
